Our registered & unregistered Nigerian Dwarf goats are one of our favorite joys, helping to keep our small acreage clear of brush and adding their cuteness and unique beauty to our lives. Contrary to popular belief, ours are *not* hard to contain, are generally well mannered, and have been a mostly uncomplicated addition for the past 5 years.
As with everything on our homestead, they are cared for naturally. We strive to breed for quality, hardiness, good temperament, easy-keepers, and nice milkable udders. We do not disbud our goats. We do have polled (naturally hornless) genetics in our herd.
They are all on a free-choice mineral buffet and are given high quality non-gmo hay in the cold months. Any feed given is organic whole oats & alfalfa pellets.
We do zero vaccines.
We kid out in Spring and Fall, and there are usually a few kids available as bottle babies or at weaning age (12-14 weeks).
